Anna, praying for a speedy recovery for your foot. Hope RICE does the trick, old remedies work best.

Kathi, loved your neutral quilt. Have a 'no darker than sand' quilt on my bucket list. Should I live another hundred years, that bucket list could be fulfilled.

We had snow, really came down last week on the first day of the big golf tournament. It fell for about an hour in the morning and another hour in the afternoon. The courtyard, palm trees and deck furniture were covered in white. Not a usual happening for Tucson.

Last spring, I gave a friend several quilt tops from my UFO's. She was to donate them to the guild. Others quilt them, then they are donated to charity. She thought these were too nice and gave them back to me last week. To my surprise, two jumped out to be finished. Just needed a bit of time to figure them out. Feels like Christmas! The rest will go to the guild. I've learned that whatever I leave here for 6 months won't interest me when we return. Should either take it home to finish or give it away....

Took DH to emergency this weekend for his virus. It has gone on for 2 weeks and is not better, think it is a secondary infection. With asthma, bronchitis is likely. They want a follow up with his regular doctor so we have an appointment this afternoon. Isn't it strange that Urgent Care is only open M-F from 9:00 to 5:00?

Blessings,

MaryJo

Finally able to post again

OK, my post from 8 days ago is the last thing here, so guess others are having trouble too.  Or they are too busy with the snow and ice in north America, and good weather in south America to care to post.
We have caught up on the rain since my last post.  Sun. night, Monday, Tuesday lots of rain and wind, tornado watch, etc.  About 3 and 1/2 inches here and in the area.  So, fire dangers over for now.  Still windy.  I think we are getting the tail end of the storm that is flying across the U.S. mainland.  DD had one blizzard a week ago, 24 inches of snow in 24 hrs.  They are sick again!  This time the stomach bug.  Only 3 instead of all 6, but still.  Yuck.
We are looking forward to a bit of fun.  Best GF is traveling back from N. C. on way to South Fla.  She will be here tomorrow night.  Then she, and both of us and 2 dogs will travel to Sebastian Inlet (about 3 hours south) to visit other friend for the weekend.  Our old original Bible study group from West Palm Beach, all of them, will be there.  We were going to have a fish fry, crab boil, but she called last night and said it would be steak and lobster instead.  Wanted to know what I could eat.  Now, isn't that a good friend?   One couple from Va. Beach, one couple from Pensacola, Fla. one from Lake Okeechobee, Fla. one from Gainsville, and us and best GF.  We will be staying a variety of places since her house is small.  Looking so farward to catching up.  (GF's husband died about 10 years ago from skin cancer).
Going to spend 45 min. working on the applique quilt, then watch Dr. Oz.  It has been warm since last post, going to be nice tomorrow, then freeze over the weekend again.
Such is weather in No. Fla.
