Fran, what a wonderful picture and to think that we have met one of the possible dad's to the children posted here. I'm sorry to hear about your shingles, though. I've had them twice, first time it felt like a bad case of the aches and around my waist, a very typical place to get shingles. The second time two years ago, was on the side of my head, around my face and ear. I went to see my homeopath, as I do with most things, it he can't deal with it, I go to my allopathic doctor. He had it cleared up in a week and a half, again, a rather lighter dose than many get but I can tell you, this time, for two days, I thought my head would blow off. I could have cheerfully taken myself out to the back woods and done serious harm to myself....I really understand how painful, now, shingles can be. I'll bet Graham can hardly wait for his Jan. operation. I look after an elderly friend and he had his hip done last spring, is walking almost without a cane now...he's 84. Older than you both. It's great to see the postings here, I wish people would keep it up. Marion spending time out on the water in warm weather and here we are at the other end of the hemisphere...but still, no snow. We're missing it, we're all holding our breath waiting for the other shoe to drop. The Maritimes are being hit with bad snow storms at the moment...that's the east coast of Canada. We won't ask Jean out west on Vancouver Island what her weather is like, she might just post a picture of her daffodils....(smile).

Poor Fran ! Sorry to hear that you are still suffering . Shingles is very nasty. . I had it on my face and head six years ago, but a mild dose fortunately. I hope you'll soon be feeling brighter. . We are still enjoying sunny days here but we haven't been out on the boat again, too windy, we have the advantage of being able to pick our days, we are here until Jan 4th. Grand daughter Phoebe , who is in Scotland, is struggling with the winter weather over there. Probably not the best time to be visiting !?!? She'll be back here in January so she will enjoy the best of our summer here.
