Bee, in a week or two you'll be sitting in your new home looking back on it all with a laugh or at least a wry smile.........hopefully! Good luck with it all. Hugs
Fran
Bee, I'm a senior but there are seniors and there are seniors...it takes in a great space of age, I think..."Are you a Senior?" we're asked...sometimes at 55, sometimes at 60 or 65. Then we get a discount or something that acknowledges our age. Too bad the food stores don't have seniors discounts every day. They have them once a week however and all us grey-tops go in and flood the grocery store. Long way round in saying, you may be more senior to me in age and it's more than understandable how something like a move can be not only dislocating but disconcerting and leaving one overwhelmed not only by lack of energy but in having to make decisions quickly. I think the latter is one that tires one out more. As Fran says, in another week or two, you'll be somewhat settled in your new home and likely not able to find anything but it will come.

Bee - There is a reason DH and I live long times in our houses. We will be in this current one for twenty years, come August this summer. I hate moving. I was 42 years old the last time we moved and it was stressful, exhausting, I had lower back pain & spasms for over a year afterward. And all that with a move we chose to make to a house we love! LOL
One day at a time, this will be all behind you. As Fran said, you will hopefully look back and have a laugh over confusing that young man for your dog. I hope you didn't try to give him a tummy rub. ;-)
Bee- I'm right there with you. Yesterday DH cleaned out/up garage. I trimmed 2 dead plants in front yard, and spread 2 bags of mulch. A light trim on the rose bushes. Then tried to clean the back wood deck (not very successful) spent 1 hour in the tub soaking, and 30 min. nap. After a while got out the plastic bins and started emptying fabric from the bookshelves. Only 2 bins full, and about 3 more to go.
When we get moved into (??) where we will be it will be worthwhile.
Chin up my dear!
Sara in Fla.
I appreciate all the advice and stories about these life changes as DH and I attempt to decide what is next. It is helpful to know what others have gone through as they make their choices.
