WOW

I struck it rich and managed to log in with my old email.  I've tried notifying Eric of my new one but nothing has happened.  I wonder if there is a place on the blog to correct that.  In the meantime I'm tired after a busy day and looking at another one tomorrow.  I just wanted to check in and let you all know that I'm alive and kicking (but not too high or too often.)

Love to all,
Jane

Jane, explain about the guns and guns laws in the US, if you're okay with it.
Marian was surprised that one of our midst would have a gun.
Up here in the country, lots of people have longarm guns...hunting and some of it farmers killing coyotes who get into their livestock as well as raccoons.

I have a handgun. Mainly it is kept in the car. in years past I made bank deposits for DH,s business, sometimes I had quite a lot of cash.
In Florida you must have a concealed weapon permit. You have to take a test, not have a criminal record and be fingerprinted. I am allowed to cary the gun in my purse, but
I do not.
Hope that answers some questions.

It is probably left over from her Public Defender days.

Jane - I emailed you some time ago, at your 'new' email address. Never heard back, so maybe I do not have it right?

I, too, have a hand gun. For quite a while I had a conceal carry permit after a multi meeting training schedule. I always carried it with me when out alone in evening or staying in a motel alone on the drive to DD's in NY. After the accident four years ago the permit expired and I now need to take the course again and reapply for a new one. I am usuually in my jammies by sundown so I don't miss it much. I am isolated here in the mountains and I still like to have the gun in my nightstand and two dogs who would probably discourage any wanna be intruder before I would need to use it. Lots of hunters in the area and just about everyhousehold has a gun or two in it.
