music camp

We're in the midst of creating "Man with a Mission" at our music camp for the kids at church. They learn a musical during the week, and will perform during the services Sunday morning. We have 41 children involved this year. This show, written by our pastor and music director, is about the life of Paul. They memorize their lines and the music. Most of the children need some type of costume, which is where I am involved. Another church member is doing the sets and props. The youth are helping with supervising the children and "back stage" activities. Some of our college age kids are home for the summer and are helping to teach the music to the children. The church has been doing this camp for children every summer for years. Fortunately, they store the costumes each year, so primarily all we had to do this year is figure out which costume fits each child best. We need to make some costumes in the "tween" sizes, as all of them seem to be very small or very large. We're doing a lot of hemming to make the larger costumes work this year, but we may make some costumes after the show is over to have available next time.
I've almost finished piecing Mom's quilt. When I finish, I'd love some input on binding/borders. It's a modified drunkard's path, and I'm thinking I'll just have to stop the design abruptly at the edge and bind it.
I'd best get over to the church and start hemming!
Laura
