my own blog

There is so little activity on the board I feel like Rosey and I have our own person board with an occasional comment by Doris & others. I have vein surgery on both legs this week and am bandged up from groin to ankles. Not any pain, just a bit uncomfortable. Get to take the pressure bandages off tomorrow and take a shower. My DD and boys are all staying home today because of high winds in N.D. School has be called off, and she can't get out of her driveway for all the blowing snow. Back to the legs-Right considered "medically necessary" as the valves by the ankle wern't opening and closing properly, and the blue bulgy ones on the left leg are "cosmetic" --go figure. Anyway, had very good care. Just taking Tylonol for the mild pain, and not much of it. I finished the binding on the 2nd boy's quilt, will make a pillow case today to go with it. My cleaning lady is here, and I need to get out of her way :). Has anyone heard from Jane in N.C. or Anna in Spain? Was wondering how they are doing. Sara in sunny, but cold Fla.

Fair comment Sarah. I think the process of posting has become more difficult, thereby making spontaneous responses almost impossible ! We used to get onto a subject and enjoy the different opinions and comments expressed from around the world. Those days seem to be over. It's easy for me to post a "comment", but it takes awhile for me to get the page up for sending a regular "post"...

It is true, this board is harder to get into but the fact was, the other public board was invaded by spammers and just blew up because of it. I have trouble posting at times as well and it is definitely not spontaneous. There seems no way to contact or communicate with the moderator of this board so problems of posting appear to be unresolvable. However, that said, one can always try; one can always participate. I've tried to support the board by posting. My information is hardly interesting or earth shattering but it's a contribution nevertheless. Others would, if they wished, do the same and make an effort but apparently it's not worthwhile to them, so perhaps this board has run its course when people aren't able to support it.
I'm sorry to for the loss of spontanaetity (sp?) but the number of invasion, viagra ads and the likes became offensive and imposible to operate with. So, maybe people should try to post if they can. I suspect it's more a lack of interest rather than difficulty in posting. I'm as dumb as a doorknob with computers really, but I have persisted...so who knows.

Sara - I had the varicose vein surgery several years ago (ropey type bulging veins) and insurance covered it. They did a laser surgery and it was wonderful. Inpatient, I walked out, took Advil, etc. The worst part was having to wear that compression stocking that was waist-high, for two weeks. Ugh.... But completely worth it and much better than having the veins "stripped" like the old days.
