How can you resist a face like that on your golden. What a wonderful shot. And Murphy, is this recent or taken some time ago. Black and white, a good contrast.
Glad you figured it out. It took me awhile to remember how to do it, Kathi. Click on HTML, my pictures came up, click on the one I want, up it comes with a pile of gibberish, so I pressed Compose, up came my picture, then I could put in my message.
I don't think this is how it's supposed to work.
Rosey
The Murphy picture was taken a year or do ago, as was the one of Gus. Murphy is still not allowed out into the snow off leash. He will be coming home from his latest hospital stay tomorrow. Hopefully this will be the last.
Kathi
Tried to answer from the iPad, but same old, same old...the post will show up when it's approved, which never happens.
Those pictures were taken last winter, I believe. Gus has always loved the snow. Murphy, too, but he isn't allowed outside without a leash yet, and that could take a while. We will go pick him up from the hospital in the morning. He had yet another surgery on Saturday, but is doing very well. Hopefully this is the last one.
Kathi
Kathi- the cold weather in Idaho must make for good potatos! I just bought 10 pls. for a Bible Study dinner tonight. It's pot luck, I'm bringing baked potatos and fixins.
Sara, truly you break me up. Who would have thought of Idaho potatoes in the middle of winter...lol.
Rosey
What? You don't eat potatoes in the winter?
Sara
Actually, Sara, I eat more brown rice than potatoes in the wintertime. And I love baked sweet potatoes and make a supper out of them topped with peas (peas being a staple in my household menu for colour...and they're easy. Poor Jock gets peas five out of seven nights of the week and never complains...maybe because his mouth is full of peas (lol).
But to get back to what is nice about snow and winter here in this part of Canada: I am a quilter. I don't have much time to quilt during the warmer months. I'm always out digging up some weed or two, watering gardens, mowing grass on the lawn tractor and most of all, catering to B&B guests which sometimes keeps me on my feet from morning till night. So, when winter comes, the wood stoves go on, the house feels warm and toasty and I can settle down to hibernating with my quilt work with few interruptions, which although ongoing year round, is never as productive as it is in winter. Yes, the bother of putting on a heavy coat, boots, etc. in the wintertime is a pain in the butt but it's part of what is. Just as where any of us live. It's part of who we are. I love to visit Florida, but truth be told, if I'm there at the end of April into the beginning of May, I find the heat oppressive. I'd sooner have the stinging, refreshing cold biting my cheeks than feel like I have a heavy warm moist blanket on me. I don't do well with humidity, which, as Jean has pointed out, several postings back, is part of eastern Canada's weather in summer. And it can be. But it's nothing compared to the amount of rainy days out west, which are really moist. I guess it all amounts to being happy where you are and finding the best of what you like in where you live.
