Lemon Drop

That car just fits Jill - she's small and cute with a bubbly personality.

Off to the big family reunion tomorrow. It's near 50 years since we attempted anything like this. It's going to be interesting.

Mary, we are going to make it to Bainbridge Island for the 4th, but Sisters Quilt Show will not be included in this trip - maybe sisters quilting though (shopping for sure)!
Above, I poste a photo of a "feedsack" fabric quilt top I purchased. It's lemony too.

Laura, I was so surprised to find a quilt shop on Bainbridge Island when we were there about a month ago. It's a cool eclectic shop. I bought a book on little toys to make.
We only did the stip since we didn't take our car.
there was a wonderful coffee shop right there too & a kitchen store.
Have a wonderful vacation. Jill

Sorry you can't be at Sisters for the show too, Laura! But enjoy your time at Bainbridge. The quilt shop that Jill mentioned sounds really nice. Hope you can check it out. :-)

PS- I forgot to say I love all the quilts you post! You've got such a good eye for color and design. I'm so glad to have seen some of your quilts in person. What a feast for the eyes!

Just returned from our family reunion in Colorado and was able to go to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum in Golden as someone here recommended. They were getting ready for a "garage sale" of donated items relating to textiles. I got to preview and found darling felt shoes to make for babies. I was also offered the 20% that was to be on the shop items and got a bundle of the Rocky Mountain Quilt fabric collection. What quilter could pass that up?

The reunion was spectacular and I met my half-brother for the first time. I am 61 and he is 68. Can you believe it! Now to prepare for our next trip and I will be on the look out for a shop Jill recommended on Bainbridge Island.
