Arizona wild fires

Our hearts and prayers are with all the families of the firefighters in Arizona who recently had such a terrible loss of life.  For those in other countries, 19 fire fighters lost their lives over the weekend, and 1 in hospital.  Thousands of acres of  land on fire in lightning strike.
Here we are having too much rain!  Daily downpours, wish we could send some out west.

Thanks. Meanwhile another fire is up to 3200 acres below Kingman, evacuations in order there as well. Over 500 firefighters now at Yarnell. Funeral arrangements being announced on the noon news in half an hour. Lots of memorials going on. So very, very sad. Monsoon season has kicked in and there's been a couple small dust storms with rain, but not here and not where the fires are. It is so dry that the rain dries up before it hits the ground if the clouds are high enough.

Lavinia--I am so sad about it. Our news for the last week has been all about a terrible sexual assalt and murder of an 8 yr. old girl. Her mom, and other 2 children were at a dollar store and were "picked up" by an older man, who then took them to Wal-Mart and bought them clothes. The man then got the girl away from mom under the guise of taking her to the McDonald's in the store for something to eat. Next thing, her body was found at a church in the wee hours of the next morning. This man had a history of sexual "predator" behavior and had only been out of prison 1 month. At first everyone was blaming the mom, but as I said, he was a well practiced con man, and knew how to say the things to get the girl. Now she is dead, and he is looking at the death penalty.
