I've had a reservation come in for this summer from Newfoundland, my first for B&B guests. The chap who called said that Newfoundland had just had two snow storms pass through leaving three feet of snow. This is the middle of March. So, keeping winter in perspective, although it's been a bitterly cold one here, it's been too cold to snow for the most part and we have been left with about two feet of snow on the flat of the ground. Not bad, really though to those further south, it would seem a lot.

I finally went to the drugstore and I am taking an antihistamine with a decongestant and that is moving some of the sinus inflammation out...but I gather from a friend in Florida that it's been a bad winter down there for sinus infections as well. The sun is very strong up here at the moment and when I can, weather permitting, I sit outside wrapped in a heavy coat with the sun on my face. It feels good.
RoseyRoseyPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10277785707806473280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5908232368106516157.post-43065269029947761832015-03-22T01:22:11.307-05:002015-03-22T01:22:11.307-05:00So sorry to hear how unwell you have been feeling ...So sorry to hear how unwell you have been feeling Rosey. We won't mention out on Vancouver Island where I'm sure the daffodils have bloomed. Our weather is improving slowly, the snow melting at a steady rate instead of one big flood, it's going between enticingly spring-like weather and into frosty, freezing weather where the ice forms over the melt. And everyone, including me, has had this sinus and cold issue that is going around. I've had it now for a month and it's lodged happily in my sinuses making for a head packed in cotton batting it seems. The Maritimes (east coast of Canada) have had unbelievably record amounts of snowfall and the storms just keep coming, one after the other. Hearing from a former member of the Chat Board from New Brunswick, everyone is sick down there too...as well as being sick from the impact of a very bad winter. One bright spot are the deer that are dancing across our back lawn so maybe they know spring is coming and food will be revealed. They've been desperate enough to come up close to people's homes and eat bird seed fallen from feeders. It's been a harsh winter for the animals. The skunks are making their appearance as well and the raccoons won't be far behind.

Nice to connect with your nephew again, he's had quite a sailing career. And as you head into the autumn of your year, we're looking forward to our spring which won't happen until next month, if that.
RoseyRoseyPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10277785707806473280noreply@blogger.com
